Indigenous Peoples
Asia-Pacific is home to more than two-thirds of the global population of Indigenous Peoples. An estimated 260 million people comprise 2,000 civilizations and languages. Many find themselves among the most marginalized communities in the region.
However, young indigenous people do not only recognize the challenges they face, they also realize their own agency. Young Indigenous Peoples, especially young social entrepreneurs, are coming up with innovative solutions to protect, preserve and better not only their own communities, but society as a whole.
To mark the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples 2022, Youth Co:Lab held an inspiring panel discussion with insights into the lives of entrepreneurs from indigenous communities.
